Benchtop Installation FAQ
Can you just replace my old benchtop without a full renovation?
Yes — benchtop replacement on an existing kitchen is a common job. We measure, cut and fit a new laminate or timber benchtop onto your existing cabinets, including new sink and cooktop cut-outs.
Do you install stone benchtops?
Stone benchtops are templated and fitted by specialist stone fabricators, not us directly. We prepare and level the cabinets to the correct height, coordinate the template and install date with your stone supplier, and handle everything else in the kitchen around it.
Laminate or timber benchtop — what's the difference?
Laminate benchtops are budget-friendly, low-maintenance and come in a huge range of finishes. Timber benchtops give a warmer look but need periodic oiling. We cut, join and fit both, including mitred corners.
Do you cut the sink and cooktop holes?
Yes — cut-outs are measured to match your specific appliance model before the benchtop is fitted. The plumbing and gas connections themselves are done by a licensed plumber or gas fitter. Installing a full kitchen too? See our IKEA kitchen installation page.
